“It all started with my deep connection with porcelain. This pure earthly material has led me on a path of becoming a creator, healer and teacher. It was from my heart that Pure Ritual was born. A call that continues to allow me to share my spiritual practices through my creations and services. I trust that Spirit has guided you here to discover tools to deepen your connection with your Higher Self.”

About Me

My name is Nina Kawar and I am the designer and creator of Pure Ritual. As an artist, I have always strived to speak to the heart and soul of those who engage in my work. I have a deep love for porcelain clay, as well as wood, metal, and gemstones. My creative work ranges from small & large-scale sculptures, home décor, jewelry, and metaphysical objects to installation works.

With a Master of Fine Arts degree in Ceramics and a BFA in 3D design, I have been on this career path for over 16 years. It is my heart, it is my love. I have a deep passion for sculpting, biology, psychology, metaphysics, and teaching. In my Fine Art, my creative practice explores and aims to push the boundaries of porcelain through the process of carving and creating delicate forms. The elusive and often fragile sculptures derive from an intrigue with the human condition and healing.

Credentials:

Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics (2014)

Reiki Level II certification (2019)

CYT 200- Kundalini & Hatha Yoga (2020)

Pure Ritual’s Story

Pure Ritual is a collection of porcelain metaphysical tools, sculptures, and jewelry for healers and seekers devoted to self-awareness. My heart's desire is to share my love for metaphysics and create tools for ritual and ceremonial purposes. I have creative skill sets and a passion for the healing arts. Pure Ritual was created in June of 2018. In 2023, I further fell down the rabbit hole of creating tools and taught myself how to copper electroform. These one-of-a-kind copper and gemstone jewelry are designed to help one on their healing journey. It brings me great joy to create sacred objects and assist others on their path of growing closer to their higher selves. The handmade porcelain clay is made with quartz elixir water and charged by the full moon.

I have been inspired by and researched sacred geometry and symbolism for more than a decade. Through my journey of self-awareness and growth, I have come to understand the meaning of many of the symbols and patterns seen within Pure Ritual’s collection. Growing up in a Palestinian-American home, and surrounded by Middle Eastern patterns, this sacred language is connected to a sense of home.

Through ritual and meditation, we are capable of connecting with ourselves at a soul level. As long as I am creating I believe I am doing what I am meant to be doing in this lifetime... Sharing my gift as a creator and speaking to the soul through Art.

Path as a Teacher

In graduate school, I taught multiple ceramic classes to undergraduate students at Clemson University and children at the local Arts Center. After receiving my MFA, I chose a career path as a studio artist. It gave me a chance to build self-confidence in my creative practice and work through my blocks before stepping into the role of a teacher.

In 2021, I returned to teaching ceramics in my studio one-on-one. I am now teaching and mentoring a wide range of students of all ages within clay and creativity. I am thrilled and excited to share the many skills and gifts I have developed and devoted all my energy to in the last decade. It has been a beautiful process and I am immensely grateful to be a place to give back and be of service to others in the world of creativity!

I am currently offering my services of teaching ceramics, creativity coaching, reiki and workshops. If you want more information about my offerings, please email me at Ninakawar@gmail.com!

The Call to Be a Healer

As a creator, I have come to a deep awareness that I am a conduit and channel within my intuitive and creative work. Dropping into a meditative state while working with clay often comes with ease, and has been one of my greatest teachers. With gratitude, it is humbling to witness Spirit work through me. My porcelain creations are grounded in healing and the energy of love and light that flows through is profound. Throughout my career I have witnessed my sculptures reach and touch the hearts of many; at a level I will never completely comprehend. Each piece is designed to speak to the soul, a mirror, an invitation to those who choose to engage in my work.

Within the last three years, I found myself craving, searching, and following the breadcrumbs, which inevitably expedited my healing through workshops, medicine journeys, Reiki certifications, Yoga teacher training, counseling, and much more! The expansion of my intuition, the opening of my heart, and the willingness to let go and surrender to the call continue to challenge me while leaving me in awe every day in its unfolding. I trust I will continue to grow, evolve, and experience this beautiful, yet wild ride, knowing I am created to shine my light, share my gifts, and assist others on this creative path of healing we are all on…. a journey home.

Blessings,

Nina Kawar

“This sacred space within my creations continues to be one of my greatest teachers. From start to finish, the movement of the clay and my engagement with the material assists me in relinquishing control, expanding my heart and trusting the process on this creative journey.”
