“It all started with my deep connection with porcelain. This pure earthly material has led me on a path of becoming a creator, healer and teacher. It was from my heart that Pure Ritual was born. A call that continues to allow me to share my spiritual practices through my creations and services. I trust that Spirit has guided you here to discover tools to deepen your connection with your Higher Self.”

About Me

My name is Nina Kawar, and I am the designer and creator of Pure Ritual. As an artist, I have always strived to speak to the heart and soul of those who engage with my work. I have a deep love for clay, metal, wood, and gemstones. My creative work ranges from small and large-scale sculptures, home décor, jewelry, metaphysical objects, and installation works.

I have a passion for sculpting, biology, psychology, metaphysics, and teaching. My fine art practice explores and aims to push the boundaries of porcelain through carving and the creation of delicate forms. These elusive and often fragile sculptures stem from an intrigue with the human condition, consciousness, transformation, and healing.

That same curiosity and intention carry into Pure Ritual. Through jewelry and metaphysical creations designed for intentional living and spiritual practice, I create pieces that support self-awareness, healing, and personal transformation. Whether working with porcelain or growing copper through electroforming, I am continually drawn to processes of transformation and the intersection of art, science, and healing.

Pure Ritual’s Story

Pure Ritual is a collection of metaphysical tools and jewelry for healers and seekers devoted to self-awareness and conscious living. It is my heart's desire to support others on their spiritual journey through the creation of adornments, ritual objects, and ceremonial tools.

Born in 2018, Pure Ritual began as a collection of porcelain metaphysical tools, sculptures, and jewelry. In 2023, the collection expanded as I taught myself the art of copper electroforming. Through this alchemical process, I handcraft each adornment and grow copper around one-of-a-kind pieces in an acid bath using electricity — a union of earth, metal, water, and energy; art and science in one.

In 2024, I lost my ceramic studio in Hurricane Helene. In the wake of this transformation, my practice shifted toward my copper electroformed jewelry and the intuitive work that guides its creation. The remaining porcelain Pure Ritual pieces that survived the flood are now available in my shop while they last.

Each porcelain piece was created from handmade clay containing minerals believed to hold metaphysical properties, including the water used in the clay itself. As an added energetic element, the water was a quartz elixir charged beneath the full moon.

The heart and soul of my creations are birthed with the intention of supporting those calling in love, harmony, personal growth, transformation, and healing within themselves and the collective.

Path as a Teacher & Healer

In graduate school, I taught multiple ceramics courses to undergraduate students at Clemson University and worked with children through classes at the local Arts Center. After receiving my MFA, I chose to focus on a career as a studio artist. This time allowed me to build confidence in my creative practice and work through my own blocks before fully stepping into the role of a teacher and mentor.

In 2021, I returned to teaching ceramics through one-on-one instruction in my studio. Since then, my teaching practice has expanded to include mentoring and guiding students of all ages through clay and creativity. Alongside my work as an artist and educator, I have also taught Kundalini yoga, weaving together my interests in embodiment, mindfulness, healing, and self-discovery. Across these different practices, I am continually inspired by creating spaces that support growth, connection, and transformation.

It would be an honor to work with you. Whether you are looking for a one-of-a-kind piece designed and intuitively created just for you, or support on your creative journey, please feel free to reach out for a consultation or further inquiries.

“This sacred space within my creations continues to be one of my greatest teachers. From start to finish, the movement of the clay and my engagement with the material assists me in relinquishing control, expanding my heart and trusting the process on this creative journey.”
